okay cucks, i’m probably about to say one of the most controversial things in the history of the hermitcraft fandom

i know for a FACT that this will indeed get lots of backlash, and it’s something that has probably been said once in the past but should be said again

i have noticed that, in this fandom, there’s lots of controversy around shipping the hermits. well, of course there’s going to be shipping and controversies on the shipping, it’s in pretty much every fandom in existence.

but, i got word from a friend of mine (will not say the name of either the friend or the server) that there is literally a shipper-hunter role in said discord that they joined

a shipper. hunter. role.

now, i highly doubt the people on this discord realize how absolutely insane it is of them to simply hunt down people that think two (or more) hermits would be cute together

if it was the irl people and not the hermits’ personas they were shipping, then i could kind of see the reasoning. but since they’re more than likely targeting the ones that are still living, functioning human beings that just ship their sonas? how has this fandom not realized how absolutely toxic that is?

i genuinely thought that hermitcraft would be one of the most welcoming and friendly fandoms i’ve joined, and i still believe that! but, there is so much hate and toxicity towards one of the biggest parts of fandoms and it’s absolutely ridiculous

i’m not defending shippers or non-shippers in this. i want to clarify that right now.

also, i’m not saying that ALL non-shippers witch hunt or are like this. i have noticed that majority of the non-shippers just don’t condone shipping and/or wish that shippers don’t interact with them, which is 100% reasonable, as it is their decision! i have respect for those who do this instead of showing hate towards shippers. blocking a shipper is also a much easier and effective way that isn’t attacking them.

so, seriously, if you have a problem with shippers/shipping, blocking the person or requesting that shippers don’t interact with you or your blog is so much easier and so much nicer than hunting them down and harasssing them.

remember mate, you’re a human with feelings, just like the person you’re attacking.

Hey, so I know I haven't posted anything for a while, mostly because I really don't have much to post about, and I've been busy with school recently, but I feel like I need to say something about the current situation in Gaza.

What's happening in Gaza and to the Palestinian people is nothing less than a disgusting genocide. While yes, Hamas is bad, that gives Isreal absolutely no excuse to kill everyone in Gaza. Gaza has a population of 2 million, over half of which are KIDS. CHILDREN. People who have no say over politics or what happens in their country. And even then, the last election held in palestine was in 2006. That's 17 years ago. And even then, you'd have to be 18 to vote, meaning that the last people in palestine to vote are 31 years old. The average age in palestine is 19.6 years old. And even then, the adults don't deserve to be killed either. Isreal has bombed countless civilian homes, hospitals, schools, etc. They have killed over 9,000 Palestinian people in the last month and unless they're forced to stop, they will continue. We need an immediate ceasefire. Please continue to boycott brands that support this genocide, keep protesting, keep speaking out, keep telling others, keep spreading awareness. The same goes for the genocides happening in Congo and Sudan. Don't ever let their voices die out. Don't let what's happening to them be overlooked or forgotten. Let their voices be heard. From the river to the sea, palestine WILL be free.
