Creating A Sona/oc For Cotl

I'm making a plush of the lamb and the goat. But I have no idea how to make the section for the goat's cloak drenched? Like soaking a section in dye? Anyone who knows anything about this have any tips?

Travelling for the week, so the plushies are definitely on a hiatus

Had some minor complications sewing the bottom, but all together, he's come out perfectly!
