Since the onset of the latest war in Gaza, our home has been completely destroyed, forcing us into displacement. We’ve had to move more than thirteen times in search of safety. During this harrowing journey, we faced severe hunger and malnutrition that nearly took my life and the lives of my children. Additionally, we were exposed to numerous contagious diseases and dangerous epidemics.

Before: This is our home, our dream, and our promising future.

My children have to travel long distances just to get water and stand in line for hours to get food. Their mental health has been shattered by the war, their education has come to a halt, and they have suffered from catastrophic hunger that almost claimed their lives.

After: This is our home, built with our sweat and effort, and it has been completely destroyed.

The Right to a Peaceful Life

Jabalia Rehabilitation Society is the only institution in the northern Gaza Strip that provides services to a large group of people with disabilities, especially those with hearing disabilities. It is considered a center for health, psychological and educational support in Jabalia camp that is no less important than government institutions. It is considered one of the contributing and supporting institutions alongside the government health and educational centers in the camp and shares the burden and community services with those centers.

Since the beginning of the war on Gaza on October 7, the institution has been a center for sheltering thousands of displaced civilians, especially those with disabilities and their families who benefit from the institution's services. However, after the Israeli occupation forces entered Jabalia camp for the second time in the war on May 12, they destroyed and burned all the buildings and facilities of the association after it had been a shelter for thousands of displaced people.

In addition to that, we have lived in the summer season in a tent that did not exceed three meters, closed with nylon, so it is like an agricultural greenhouse atmosphere. It is very hot. ‎‏I am manal from Gaza. I am 30 years old. I stand before you as a person trying to support my family of 3 members, me, my husband, and my young daughter. We are living in very difficult circumstances after the occupation launched the war on Gaza. We were displaced from our home and live in a tent that does not protect us from the cold of winter or the heat of summer. We live in extreme poverty due to the circumstances and there is no income. We are no longer able to provide the necessary supplies of food, drink and others due to the insane rise in prices. Thus, my source of livelihood was destroyed and we live in very difficult conditions in tents. It is difficult for me to find the words to describe what we face every day in the tents without food, medicine, or drinking clean water, along with the oppression, helplessness, psychological pressures, and daily traumas that everything causes. Around us and unable to care for our families, the fear of danger, disease and death never leaves us

Now, I find myself in this difficult situation, and I humbly ask for your help to save the lives of my family, especially my little girl, by getting us out of Gaza to Egypt and building a new life outside Gaza or helping us get money to buy the necessities we might be able to afford.
