Hello dear .. My name is Abdul Rahman Halas, married to the martyred journalist Alaa Al-Dahdouh. My journalist wife works for the Watan News Agency and we had a beautiful child named Karam. The real disaster began on Wednesday, May 31, 2024, when my wife, my child and I were surprised by a huge missile that fell on us and exploded in the place where we were, targeting the house we fled to and other neighboring houses

. At that moment, my journalist wife Alaa hugged our child Karam to protect him from the hell of the missile, but she turned into pieces and died immediately. My child Karam and I miraculously escaped certain death when the pressure of the missile threw me a long distance, which resulted in me being injured by numerous shrapnel and multiple injuries that led to severe fractures in my leg and damage to the nerves in my hand and foot and various shrapnel in different parts of my body

. My wife is a journalist covering the crimes of genocide against defenseless civilians in the Gaza Strip. With the intensification of the bombing and the scarcity of food and water, my wife and I struggled daily to secure food for our only child Karam, who was also suffering from severe fear because of The brutal bombing of the Gaza Strip.

Now after the disaster that befell my family, I need your generous support to overcome my ordeal and pay for my treatment and surgeries. I need several surgeries outside the Gaza Strip that cost a lot of money, and I am in dire need of your tears and support.

On this day a year ago, my children were on their way to school and suddenly they heard the sounds of missiles and continuous explosions. They returned home scared and terrified. None of us knew what was happening. We felt like we had lost our lives, and that is what happened. We lost our home and everything we owned in a moment. It was the beginning of the nightmare. The house disappeared with all its details and their dreams. Even their toys turned to ashes. They destroyed their childhood!!

Since that day until now, we don't know how long we haven't had a day of rest. Death follows us all the time. We have escaped death many times, but I fear loss. All I want is your donation, even if it is small, to help save my children's lives. I don't want us to continue our lives in tents without rights.

Spoke to a gen z person the other night and apparently the young folks don't know about the very legal sites from which you can access public domain media (including Dracula, The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and other Victorian gothic horror stories)?

Like this young person didn't even know about goddamn Gutenberg which is a SHAME. I linked to it and they went "aw yiss time to do a theft" and I was like "I mean yo ho ho and all that, sure, but. you know gutenberg is entirely legal, right?"

Anyway I'm gonna put this in a few Choice Tags (sorry dracula fans I DID mention it though so it's fair game) and then put some Cool Links in a reblog so this post will still show UP in said tags lmao.

I apologize for this method of collecting donations, but I have to. I lost my son 🧚‍♀️ and I don’t want to lose my daughter and my family 👨‍👩‍👧 I also lost my job as a teacher. My daughter and wife are stuck in the northern Gaza Strip, where there is killing and extermination, and hunger and thirst.

We did nothing to deserve such brutal war, loss and deprivation🥺

Asking for help is not easy, I ask for a small donation of only 20 euros from each person, 20 euros will save my family from death in Gaza 💔 Donate through the link in the bio (gofundme) or ( paypal ) We can achieve our goal within the day and provide crucial support to me and my family in Gaza . Your contribution means everything to us, and in these difficult times, your kindness is our greatest hope. We are very grateful for any help you can provide and thank you for your kindness and generosity in our time of need.♥

Dear Friend,

My name is Ghazi Al Amoudi, and I am reaching out to you from Gaza, where life as we once knew it has been shattered. Our home, once a sanctuary, is now a pile of rubble. Each night, my family and I endure the freezing cold, hunger gnawing at us, and the uncertainty of what tomorrow may bring.

Every day is a fight for survival, marked by fear, loss, and unimaginable hardship. Yet, even amidst this despair, I hold onto one thing: the belief in the kindness of people like you to help us find a way forward.

I am humbly asking for your support. A donation, however small, can mean warmth in the cold, food for my family, and a glimmer of hope in these dark times. If you cannot donate, sharing our story with others might be the act of kindness that changes our fate.

Please consider helping through my campaign: https://gofund.me/8a2c70d7. Every gesture, big or small, brings us closer to safety and the chance to rebuild.

Thank you from the depths of my heart for taking the time to read this. Your compassion could be the light we need to see a better tomorrow.

With profound gratitude, Ghazi Al Amoudi

32% of my long-term goal

3,283€ out of 10,000€
