Tsukasa x gn!Reader

It had been an accident. The knife you’d been holding had slipped and sliced into the meat of your other hand. You hissed out curses, trying to press a clean cloth against your hand to stop the bleeding before it got too bad. But the cut was deep, and you were definitely going to need stitched together. 

You’re in the middle of the simple procedure when Tsukasa comes barreling into the room. 

“Hey! Careful!” Yuzuriha scolds him, but her words go ignored as he rushes towards you, hands reaching for your face. 

“Are you alright?” He asks, breathless. He must have run all the way from the training field once he got the news. 

“Yeah, I’m okay,” You say, pressing your cheek into his hand on instinct, seeking his warmth. Tsukasa lets out a relieved sigh, his shoulders relaxing immediately. 

“Thank goodness. All I’d heard was that you were hurt, but no one told me what happened,” He says. 

“Can I finish working on my patient please?” Yuzuriha huffs, though you don’t think she’s actually that mad. If anything, she looked more amused than anything. “I still need to wrap their hand up.”

“I can do that,” Tsukasa says, turning and holding out his palm for the necessary supplies. Yuzuriha sighs, and hands them over before quickly and quietly slipping out of the room with a sneaky little grin on her face. Almost like this was planned. 

Your friends were getting less and less sneaky about what they were trying to do. 

Tsukasa takes a seat in front of you, pulling your hand into his lap so that he can inspect the careful stitching with a frown. His eyes always held a kind of intensity, but his gaze almost felt like it was burning. It made you more than a little anxious. He was always telling you to be more careful, and here you were getting hurt doing something mundane. 

“I’m sorry,” You blurt suddenly, unable to hold it in. Tsukasa looks up at you, soft eyes flitting across your anxiety filled expression. 

“What for?” He asks.

“Getting hurt. Again.”

“It happens to the best of us,” He says. “I’m more worried about how this is going to affect your ability to do the things you enjoy.” 

“Oh…” You hadn’t had time to think about that. With an injured hand, you wouldn’t be able to write, play music, or even help with basic tasks until you were healed. There was no way Senku would let you risk an infection. 

So, what were you supposed to do now? Nothing? But how could you just sit here and do nothing all day? The Kingdom of Science needed every available hand in order to keep things moving, yours included.

What a burden you’d become. Not only were you hurt, but now you were useless too. 

“Hey, hey,” Tsukasa’s hand touches your face again. You blink, a little startled at his touch and worried tone. 

“Huh? Oh, sorry, were you saying something?” You ask, a little embarrassed to have to even ask. You should have been paying attention already-

“No, it’s alright. You just…looked lost for a minute,” He says softly, fingers brushing across your cheek before dropping. 

“Oh…” 

Silence falls between you, neither knowing really what to say next. Tsukasa grabs the supplies he was given- some ointment and bandages- and gets to work on your hand. The ointment stings a bit, but not too seriously. Just enough to know it was working. 

As he works, you take a moment to focus on his hands, hoping the small distraction was enough to shake some of this anxiety you were building. 

They’re bigger than yours, though to be fair Tsukasa was a bit taller. And they were warm. Very warm. You always liked that about him, his warmth always giving you a strange feeling of security and comfort. 

God you liked him so much. You just wished you’d stop embarrassing yourself in front of him every time you were together. You always said or did something that made you wish a hole would swallow you up so that you could perish in peace. But no matter what, he never stopped finding and spending time with you. It made you dare to think that maybe he liked you too. 

“There we go,” Tsukasa murmurs once the bandage is firmly in place. “You’ll have to change this pretty often, but I can help you with that if you need it. I know you don’t handle pain very well.” 

Your face flushes, but he just gives you a warm smile, sending your heart beating a million miles a second. 

“I-I can do it on my own just fine!” You say with a huff, making him chuckle a little. 

“Of course,” he says. “My mistake.” 

There’s another moment of quiet, though this one is filled with a different kind of tension. The kind that told you Tsukasa was measuring his next words, planning them extremely carefully before speaking. 

“I was worried,” He says softly. 

“I’m so-”

“Don’t apologize, I know accidents happen. But when I was told you’d been hurt, I couldn’t help but feel anxious,” He sighs, holding your bandaged hand in his gentle palm. “I think you’re the first person other than my sister to so thoroughly scare me like that.” 

Great. Fantastic. Now you felt even more terrible about the whole thing. Way to go, you! 

“I’ll be more careful, I swear,” You say, praying your voice isn’t shaking given your sudden need to cry. 

“Good. Because if something serious happened to you, I don’t know how I’d ever recover,” He murmurs. You’re still processing his words when he lifts your hand, and presses your bandaged palm against his lips. 

It’s such a small and quick action, but the kiss has your whole body heating up, your face bright red and your heart hammering somehow even harder. You needed to calm down, and fast, before you passed out. That was the last thing either of you needed after this whole ordeal. 

“I-I’ll be extra careful,” You repeat. “Cross my heart! You won’t have to keep taking care of me like this!”

Tsukasa chuckles, a warm smile on his own slightly flushed face.

“What if I said I didn’t mind taking care of you?” He asks, standing and pulling you to your feet with him.

“I’d say you shouldn’t waste your time,” You say. 

“It’s not a waste. Not if it’s you.”

“Yeah?” 

“Yeah.”

I will try to answer as many of these as possible without forgetting any!! I love talking about these two, they're my babies, so prepare for this to be a literal book.

Let's start with anything to do with Original Lore (not anything to do with fandom):

Xenos (also called Dog in a lot of things considering his lore) is actually one of my oldest OCs. He came literally out of a joke I made to my niece (who was tiny at the time) that I knew a vampire. I made up the most simple lore for him in the world and she loved it. After that, he went through a few minor changes, but has remained mostly the same. He's no longer a vampire, but a Hell Hound contracted to his Lady. He likes to read.

Aurora started as a playable character in a western/fantasy Dungeons and Dragons game I was playing. She's gone through the most transformation over the years (names, appearance, and a little bit of personality), but her character has stabilized over the past two years or so. She likes music and dancing, and is a little bit of a functioning alcoholic. She also likes to build and tinker with things, which is something she gets from her father.

They came together because I was writing something including Aurora (that I honestly don't remember now), and she needed a companion. Xenos was the only other OC to come to mind, and they've been a pair ever since. Aurora found Xenos in his dog form in an animal trap and saved him, not knowing what he was. Xenos, believing he now owed her his life, swears himself to her and has remained her most faithful companion ever since.

They are not, and never will be, romantically involved. I tried it once. It didn't work. They're platonic soulmates and nothing more.

Xenos has brothers, other Hounds like him, but they aren't all that close to each other. They think he's a fool for attaching himself to a human, and are just waiting for him to return to where he belongs.

Aurora's family life is a little more complicated (and traumatic).

Her birth parents were young, and unmarried, when she was conceived and born. Her mother basically ran off with her and eventually married a man who, let's be entirely fair, was a real piece of shit. Aurora ended up enduring a lot of abuse before she got her hands on her birth father's information. Her birth father (a man named Charlie) came to her aid, and fought for the right to have her. She is the only child of his he's done this with, causing her to be generally unliked by her several adopted and half-siblings, who feel she's been given unfair favoritism by their father. Charlie cares about all of his children, he's just not the best at being a dad.

She still lives with her father, despite being an adult, and the two (three, if you count Xenos) are a little family. Charlie has his own lore and a lot of friends that are basically part of the family that come and go from stories involving Aurora (most commonly: The Professor, Coyote, Marcus, and Graham).

Aurora was almost a mother. She gets pregnant at sixteen, but ends up ultimately losing the child. She wants to be a mother, but she thinks she's broken, and has yet to try to have children again within the official lore.

She loves kids, and is a lot like her father where she sort of draws them to her, and has a collection of kids that love her.

Xenos is technically Aurora's pet. There are several instances where his original demonic nature just doesn't fit the story. When that happens, he is usually made to be either a wolfdog she saved, or a German Shepherd.

The two of them fit best in modern and fantasy timelines.

I've never considered face claims for either of them before, so I'd have to really think about it. I have made them both in the Sims, and other games with character customization.

WITHIN DR STONE: They're with the American colony

There are a few small changes, considering Dr STONE is a modern science/fantasy.

Xenos, here, is just Dog, since having two characters with similar names is a bit too confusing. He's a full on wolf that Aurora managed to convince Stanley and Dr. Xeno to let her keep. He's well trained, and will attack on command.

Aurora's backstory changes very little, but in the stone world she is entirely without her family, so she's a little more unstable.

Works with Brody as a secondary engineer, though she doesn't have nearly as much experience working on military grade projects. She can, however, take apart and put Stanley's gun back together faster than he can, and has helped to make modifications to make it meaner.

Gets along well with Dr. Xeno and Stanley, as they both appreciate her quick wit, sass, and practical mechanical ability. Plus, she tamed a wild wolf that's nearly as big as she is and treats him like a normal domestic animal. She's lowkey terrifying.

The moment the Kingdom of Science gets involved, and she finds out that they're just kids (even if she's only a few years older than the lot of them at this point [sits at roughly 25-27 years old]), she gets pissed at how they're being treated, and leaves to join them. Helps them get into the colony to swipe Dr. Xeno, and takes on a kind of Kingdom Mom role.

I haven't decided who she fits with romantic partner-wise just yet, but there's still time. If you have ideas, let me know.

A bit different question. What kind of music you would choose as main theme for Senku, Gen, Tsukasa, Stanley and Xeno as individuals that isn't in anime? Also what kind of music taste you think each of them have?

Senku

A song written to mourn and remember a loved one that has long passed on just fits him really well

Music Taste: Pop and Hip-Hop

He listens to lots of music, but this is what you'll hear most often in the lab. He finds the rhythm of most Pop and Hip Hop songs mentally stimulating.

Gen

Song: Mastermind (Taylor Swift)

Come on. Just listen to it and tell me I'm wrong.

Music Taste: Blues

I don't know how to explain this one honestly it's just the vibe he gives off

Tsukasa

This is another one you need to trust me with and just listen to it.

Music Taste: Lo-Fi and Movie Musical Soundtracks

This one was the hardest. Tsukasa, to me, is the kind of guy who is more likely to listen to audiobooks and good podcasts, and only really listens to music to relax.

Plus, I mean, he's got a little sister who probably likes the soundtracks to movies like The Little Mermaid and Cinderella, and he is always happy to entertain her.

Stanley

Song: Goodbye Earl (The Chicks)

Stanley is the guy who would show up at your doorstep when he finds out you're being abused and help you kill the man and hide the body.

Music Taste: Early 2000s country, "White Girl" Pop, and Hip-Hop/some Rap

Stanley is a Marine who grew up the same time I did and has to suffer through crayon-eater jokes let him have his Taylor Swift and Shania Twain.

Would also have feelings about the Kendrick vs Drake beef

Xeno

Song: Rat (Penelope Scott)

It's a song about loving science and technology, but being hurt by how companies have turned it into something made solely for profit. It's a song about disappointment, about being disappointed. And Xeno is nothing, if not disappointed in the world.

Music Taste: 80's & 90's Rock

It honestly just fits the vibe. He also listens to whatever Stanley puts on the radio (will tell you he doesn't like Taylor Swift but has been caught more than once jamming to her)

I'm just rambling now as I'm thinking how equally cursed it was when everyone was turned in stone but after learning that the petrification can fix people's injuries and apparently their illnesses as we saw happen to Tsukasa's little sister, it can also be seen as blessing for those who also were permanently ill or injured so badly that even modern world doctors and experts aren't able to cure or even make the pain much easier for those who need to live with chronic pain and pain attacks or those treatments are so expencive that people can't afford it. The petrification and reviving process could literally perhaps fix even allergies or things like autoimmune disease and that could be seen as a blessing and-

...oh... I actually only now while writing this realized that the first petrification wave and the medusa device could become a subject of being worshipped as a saviour or start a cult in the new world among with people who don't know everything about the petrification device but people would DEFINITELY notice on their own how they are again back to health after being revived and make their own decisions to try to capture the medusa device for themself or when ever people are in need for miracle cure they want and get it to work.

The more people revived, the more likely someone would take it as their life mission to get their hands on working medusa to give cure for people and that power could lead to another interesting plotline if the one doing the good deeds would be someone who just wants people to be in dept for them and own a favor/material for them as a prize for the miracle cure.

I read the word cult and have immediately stamped my approval.

There is guaranteed to be a group of people who worship petrification and the medusa to an almost frightening degree.
