this is a very small detail but in the opening scene of ch14 when Din asks for the ball, he doesn’t actually grab it until Grogu offers it to him. like he waits patiently until the kid consents to give it to him before actually taking it, which is kind of remarkable because so many people don’t treat children like actual people, especially very young children, and don’t take their boundaries or desires seriously because children have very little way of enforcing them. and it’s like. this dude dressed head to toe in armour who kills people for money is very respectfully asking an infant to give up their toy for a moment and waits very patiently for him to offer it up willingly, and the baby DOES give it to him because this is very clearly an established boundary between them. Grogu knows Din will respect his wishes, even “trivial” ones like holding a ball, so he is okay with giving it to his dad because he trusts and loves him

Pedro Pascal has captured the market on hot, single dads and god bless him for it.
