Felipenas would do devious things as a form of tiny retaliations/revolutions[?] against Spain. Examples of those would be exchanging his tomatoes into chili [to blame Mexico] or mangoes [for his amusement], get the prayers pronounced wrongly, or say the wrong prayers [for i.e praying the Grace before Meals" before starting classes or “Angel of God” before meals etc.]. Spain would get so annoyed -or pissed- and would punish him except Felipenas has a few tricks up his sleeves. Examples would be going through a lot of trouble to hide himself from Spanish guards, even priests, and Spain himself [but he can’t hide all the time so yeah, get the belt or stick, ahaaaa ;;;;;]. Mexico gets dragged into his mischievous pranks [and often gets blamed, poor guy]. Sometimes he helps Felipenas, and sometimes he doesn’t esp. when he’s too tired or not in the mood.
