These Two Kids Are Hamza (the Oldest) And Qusai (the Youngest).

These two kids are Hamza (the oldest) and Qusai (the youngest).

Their mother shares this video and bids them goodbye. They were both killed by Israeli bombardment 5 days ago. She says:

[Two days before Hamza and Qusai were killed, hamza asked me: "mom, when we die, where will I go?" And I told him: "you will be a bird in heaven, my love." He said: "and Qusai?" "Just like you inshallah."

And indeed, two days later, he left and took his brother with him. It's like he was preparing me for saying goodbye to both of them. Heaven is more beautiful than any place on this Earth, habibi. We will meet and be reunited one day, me, your dad and you two].

Our kids don't deserve to die already thinking about what will happen to them, they don't deserve to die already terrified, anticipating their death because the world failed them and decided their lives mean nothing. We are not numbers. Remember their names and their stories.

This started as a Silver birthday comic, but it kinda evolved from there. I was talking with my sister about what Silver’s first word was, which I then turned my ramblings into this comic! I’m really proud of it, especially how it looks as I tried really hard to use lots of manga techniques in it and I think it adds to the nostalgia…though I did reuse some lineart for the last page. I like to think that not only was that Silver calling Lilia ”father” for the first time, but Lilia calling Silver “son” for the first time as he might not have been sure of his role in this human’s life that he found.

May they always be together and happy! 😭

UM. HI.

So , , Um. My dad and i have been in a very bad spot in terms of finances recently and so . :) I decided to finally bite the bullet and open commissions. And even if you can’t afford/don’t want one please consider reblogging this so we can afford rent just a little easier so we wont have to run ourselves ragged working constantly.
