Sooooo... I’ve wanted to open up about this for awhile. Still debating on if I want to put a video about this on my yt or not but for now I’ll just post this piece here.
As much as like to be a fun happy go lucky person, life isn’t perfect for me. It’s not for anyone. So, I’ve started making vent art. This is probably one of my favorites not just because of how I accomplished gore and flat neon colors pretty decently, but it helped me get something out that I feel on a bit of a daily basis. Thethering. Constant expectations and different requests and expectations pulling me in different directions and as I try to meet them all or escape, I only find that I'm hurting myself and others around me and I can’t or rather I SHOULDN’T say anything about it.
I’m not trying to be a sad sack completely out of no where, but I also want to start being more honest with myself and those I care about instead of just saying that everything is always ok. Its OK to not be OK, and I’m really happy to finally be learning this lesson Even if it’s been a hell of a struggle to do so.

Some vent art I made a little bit ago when college was becoming too much. When everything is happening all at once and you feel yourself being pulled in every direction with so many voices screaming what to do at you and ever watching and expecting eyes waiting for your failure or success, expecting neither or both all at the same time, it’s enough to make you sick.
It’s pretty simple but I had a lot of fun experimenting with the colors and the glitch effects
I asked my boyfriend if he could be any creature what he would choose and he said “dragon” This led to some doodles, a dumb little comic of me being a simp and later designing his sweet dancing sister as a kitten. Context: the whole line about him being “Magic” is a reference to how we got together, we were in the play Aladdin together and he was the genie and now all my friends joke that I’m dating a “Magic man” They’re right... >/////<
AYYYYYYYYY ITS FINALLY DONE!!! I’ve been working on this comic making fun of lloyd’s love life for TOO damn long! I was just sitting in my room one night and thought “Wait we only get Akita for like... 2 seconds in her normal form. Does this girl even know how to kiss for real?” and months later this is the final result. Also yes I draw Kai with cake. Because he is a juicy MEAL of a young man!!! He got a chest to sleep on and hips made for shaking. (I’m so proud of how his poses came out omg...)
I also want it to become an ongoing gag that because my mans Lloyd is too young to drink, he just chugs apple juice to numb his pain. (Hints all the boxes) My fellow Ninjago artists, please let me know your thoughts on this headcannon/ongoing joke. I think its funny and I hope other people do too...

Welp, I haven't slept in two days... But I DID finish what I think its gonna be a hell of a good gift for my one-year anniversary with my bf today! He's OBSESSED with the overhaul arc and I've had this poster idea in my head for MONTHS so, why not? Hope he likes it... Either way, I'm so so happy with how this came out and even happier to have the person I made it for!
I was asked to draw Deku in a flower crown and ended up making a whole comic out of the idea.
