“That looked a bit like a bad re-entry, didn’t it?” Kathryn asked the ex-Borg, who was toying with a strand of the cords at her own waist. “Certainly didn’t look like a meteor.”
“I witnessed identical phenomena on 11 separate occasions this morning, each occurring between 3 and 5 minutes from the previous event,” Seven explained, glancing at Janeway. “I do not believe this is a natural occurrence.”
-----
After Captain Janeway contracts an illness during an expedition to an uninhabited planet and orders USS Voyager to leave her behind, a certain hardheaded Astrometrics officer isn't so keen on abandoning her Captain. As Janeway and Seven learn to navigate the strange new dynamic forming between them, it becomes apparent that the planet they now call home has a much deeper story to tell--one that seems to defy logic, reality, and even the natural order of time itself. ----- This is a standalone fic but can be read as additional worldbuilding to my "For the Optics" series. Timeline runs about a year prior to the events of "A Binding of Stars."

Some of the best and simultaneously most disappointing character arcs in television.
2.15, The Queen is Dead 5.05, Dreamcatcher
Me reading anything anyone has written about Airiam. Also people commenting about what I write about Airiam 🙃
When a fic doesn’t fit my head canons but it’s well-written
Ordered my Star Trek: Discovery Blu-rays because I've gotten into collecting physical media again and my internet out here drops a lot, and honestly I don't even know why I bothered buying all 5 seasons since 3 and 4 are dead to me and the only reason I liked 5 was because they brought Airiam back for 15 minutes when they could have spent 3 seasons with her as a major villain and let her try to torch the Federation while possessed by an evil AI that had access to her memories and everything she knew about Starfleet and Discovery as a Lieutenant Commander...😭
Anyway, I ordered some Blu-rays so now I can be mad even without internet.
It doesn't matter what I'm writing, there is a 99% chance my birds are acting as my beta readers from one or both shoulders.
The other 1% of the time they're interrupting my workflow by shitting on the laptop screen, which leads to me going to the kitchen for a wipe and subsequently reminds me I haven't eaten or drank any water in 10 hours and should probably do that. So...helping?

“You still believe there are survivors,” she declared, her words flat as her lips thinned. “The statistical likelihood of survivors is less than–” “I don’t care about statistics, Seven,” Kathryn cut in, shaking her head. “Survivors or not, Starfleet or not, we’re not alone here. It explains the ladder, the door–and this…thing.”

Star Trek Voyager 5x11 - Latent Image
Seven: It is unsettling. You say that I am a human being and yet I am also Borg. Part of me not unlike your replicator. Not unlike the Doctor. Will you one day choose to abandon me as well?
Latent Image Gifset series Part 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7
It's the weekend and I can WRITE STUFF.
Yay.
Right after I dig the turkey shed out of the snow 😭
This is beautiful.
“Remember”
Many, many months ago now, I asked what Janeway outfits people wanted me to draw … and then I didn’t really do any drawing. But I finally finished this!
This outfit from “Remember” was suggested by @thresholdbb as well as @darksideofthecoffeebean who specifically mentioned playing the instrument. @prettypinkdork said “Mortal Coil” which is the same outfit, though I will get to drawing a shot from that episode too.
There is too much white in this outfit. Lol. It didn’t help that I was also doing a drawing of my brother in a white button-down at the same time.
I’m not sure what I’ll draw next, but if you have any suggestions, feel free to suggest them!
