Trust fall

In my DnD AU I just made up, this happens whenever they have to pair up.

Damian: I don't want to be Robin forever, I don't want to move into other names and roles either! I... I want to be a doctor... like grandfather.

Alfred: *beaming with pride* Oh that's excelent, Master Damian! I'm so glad to see someone in this family actually following late Master Wayne legacy. Thomas would be so proud.

Bruce: *discretly tearing up* Yeah, that's... that's... great, just great, chum. I'm very very proud.

Damian, who is inspired by Thomas but at the moment was actually refering to Ra's: Yes, reading and just hearing all those stories about granfather Thomas made me admire him a lot.

Damian who still feels like he can't talk about the other side of his family. Who still feels like talking about happy moments or how despite everything his mother and grandfather loved him and did their best to make him happy or about the things he still admires about them will take away his place at the Waynes, will grant him eyes full of either pity or fearfull concern. Damian who knows his grandfather is evil and his mother is complicated, who choose a different path and who is starting to understand that being pushed to the path Talia and Ra's wanted was bad for him and unhealthy, that kids shouldn't be assassins (but should kids be Robins?). Damian who himself still has hatred and anger for Ra's but also who still has love and admiration. He got his love for animals from them, Ra's love for life. Damian who fundamentally still wants to be a Wayne very much but wishes being a Wayne didn't meant he had to give up on being an Al Ghul. Who wishes he could talk about them. Damian who admires Thomas Wayne and all the stories he heard about him but who was raised by the Al Ghuls, who heard about a santifield version of a healer grandfather and saw a demonized version of one. It was Ra's who bandaged him and Talia. Damian who is doing it for the Waynes. For these people he never got to met and wishes so much he had. Damian who is doing it for the Al Ghuls. For a mother who started wanting to be a doctor before wanting to run away and violence and cooportativism took it out of her, for a grandfather who is far from perfect but who always helps his own people.

Who wanted to be safe to talk about his first home with the people he loves the most. Who is terrifield that being inspired by Ra's will meant he doesn't belong with them.

Damian who didn't even lied. Who got the hugs and support. Damian who does not know why he is upset.

Why would you kill him like this…

Tim: I got this photo of the sunset with snow

Damian: printed?

Tim: yep, no blur

Damian: leave it on my desk.

Tim: *places photo on desk and leaves*

A few days later

Tim:*sitting on bed in room*

Damian: *comes in and without a word places a painting of the photo onto Tim’s bed and then leaves*

Tim: *silently takes it and hides it away*

Bruce, walking in: hey just wanted to-

Tim: oh hi

Bruce: what was that?

Tim: nothing, just Damian

—-

Bruce: Dick, Tim and Damian never speak. I’m worried they aren’t getting along again

Dick: Their brothers their bound to have disagreements

Bruce: no… I keep seeing them leave things for each other. It could be death threats but by the time I go to check they are gone

Dick: oh… I could ask Damian

Bruce: please

The first Wayne family portait

I just wanted to draw baby bruce being a little nuisance 😈 it was just supposed to be a family portrait of the waynes standing in front of gotham bay, showung off the new Wayne tower. I’d like to think Bruce really liked alfred even as a baby\toddler, he was the only person other than his parents whom Bruce would allow to hold him as a kid.

The second set of sketches are of Martha being a kind and gently disney pricess, teaching bruce not to be afraid of birds and other small creatures. Which he’ll remember later on when he’s older and wants to make a new friend.

Finally, a Bee focused update! I do apologise, he's NOT getting any comfort in a while :< We're getting close to a two-part "episode" that I'm very excited about. Hopefully I can draw it as I imagine

Notes:

If it's not clear - Bee saw his own reflection in the metal surface of the wall. It's the first time he's seen his own face, and on top of that he must have gotten terrible flashbacks to Sentinel and the assault. Ratchet really shouldn't have left him alone.

This update is happening right before the previous one, in which Bee stumbles into Elita-1. Optimus and Ratchet are still talking, somewhere else.

And finally, a little more explanation about the injury - Bee's neck got terribly damaged by Sentinel. He subconsciously put his mask on right after that, I assume the whole mechanism was destroyed and took off a part of his faceplate with it. Even before Ratchet could help him he was already grabbing at his injuries. In the IDW comics there is something about a rust disease? Hence the idea his face could have gotten infected, if not taken care of immediately. Ratchet had to pry his faceplate open, repaired the injuries and the mask itself, and let Bee put it on again, for protection.

Did I plan this from the beginning? ....................................*cough*

Batman, how the f**k did you imply that!?

Bruce coming home from a justice league meeting going up to the bat computer Tim is sitting there Dick is leaning on the chair to look at the screen, Bruce sits down taking his cawl off and just looks up at the bats on the ceiling Dick and Tim notices Bruce's odd behavior.

Dick: uh you okay B ?

Bruce let's out the most exhausted sigh Dick has ever heard from the man. This makes Tim stop typing and look over as well

Bruce:... I might have implied that I was...

Bruce's voice trills off into a whisper.

Dick: what?

Bruce: that as Batman, Bruce Wayne is my sugar daddy...

Tim:...

Dick:...

Bruce sighs again.

Dick: this is why you need to tell them your identity dad

Bruce: unfortunately I can never tell them now because I will die of embarrassment

Dick: B you have to tell them

Bruce: do you want me to die of embarrassment Dick?
